Jesus Lover Of My Soul
by Darlene Zschech

Jesus, lover of my soul
Jesus, I will never let You go
You’ve taken me from the miry clay
You’ve set my feet upon the rock
And now i know

I love you, I need you
Though my world may fall
I’ll never let You go
My Savior, my closest Friend
I will worship you until the very end

==========================================

Have you ever tried to worship… and felt a total hypocrite?

God is beating me down lately… maybe this piece of clay isn’t ready for molding yet.

I see how high, how awesome, how mighty… then see myself…

What kind of love is this, really?

Why did You come? Why me?

I am unworthy, so why out of all the people… me?

Jesus declared, “Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.”
The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”
Then Jesus declared, “I who speak to you am he.”

Haven’t we all?  Definitely I have.

    Happy Wednesday!

Love… without end, without cause, without a doubt… simply Love: Holy Love.  what more can we say to describe just a glimpse of His Glory?  how can our words portray but a thread of His Majesty?

the fact that you recognize the lack, the futility, and the emptiness is the beginning of a new kind of molding.  He is faithful.  He started, and will finish THE Good Work in you.  rock on!

I love your new emoticons ;-). :neko: :juggle: Thanks for this post. You just reminded me that I should get back to worshipping God more. In fact, this is something God has been speaking to me more lately. So tonight though I croak, I shall raise my voice in worship to the King.

btw, I looked up the meaning of the word “mellifluous“. Hehehe… this is why I like reading myshkin’s site. I learn new words all the time.

Love the song.. and thanks for the reminder of worship. Indeed, it is incredible and amazing how a mighty God calls each of us into His Presence.
