Joy – My Anti-SIN

Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council. He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him.”

In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

“How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb to be born!”

Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
— John 3:1-8 (NIV) —

(I forgot what the topic was supposed to be about. I had to pray and meditate to recover my train of thought. )

This child of God has gotten older… in a bad way.

Why do I care so much about what other people think? what other people will say? Why don’t I care more about what God thinks of how I’m living my life? Fighting the darker spots in my life. Attacking those things in my heart & mind that offend my God… Sometimes my life feels like just putting one foot in front of the other in slow, measured and determined paces. Other times, it seems like God shows me a cliff and asks me to step off. Crazy. Foolish. Excessive. Where has the trusting heart of the child gone?

If “our father in heaven” is true… then is it not true that I have a Daddy-God? What valid reason does a child of the Almighty have to fear? How many fulfilled promises does it take for a child to trust in their father? And when you’ve decided to reach past fear and pride, what will you find?

Rebirth. Thankfulness. Awe. Graciousness. Joy.

Feeling the wind cavort through your hair.

Wonder at the uniqueness of each snowflake within a snowstorm.

Reveling in the myriad dance of scent, flavor and texture in your food.

Losing yourself in a song.

the only person we can find 100% fulfillment (and acceptance) with is the Lord … everyone else – yes, even your spouse, will fall short. That’s just the nature of man. It gives a better perspective even in a relationship because (not that you want to set your expectations low) you don’t expect perfection – and can forgive easier.

ps flattering, I have a review section?

  3. RedRosesrr says:

shady = looking like you’re doing something you’re not supposed to…particularly with guys shady means they’re either sneaking around, or being oily to try to pick up a girl…hahaha and that’s my entry in the slang dictionary 😉

  4. A_S_LEE_P says:

    thanks dude.

shady has too many meanings. can be used in so many situations. kinda like nasty and bad.

  6. its_joeyun says:

shady = not being upfront about your intentions

so, if a guy is shady, then he’s being mysterious and vague – not in the sexy way, but in a creepy, slightly perverted, scheming, suspicious way

shade = blocks out the light (think “gray”)

Hello , I like what you wrote down now. I have to say myself those ?’s alot myself . Why are people’s like that I don’t know why at all. Hope you had a great week-end now. GOD BLESS YOU ALL FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. i think lindt was referring to the skeevy strangers who purposefully sit next to you and stare at you in awkward silence or the men (usually our fathers’ age) who strike up conversations with you that slowly (aka in a shady but not smooth manner) get more and more personal.
i feel like you don’t need to worry about being shady if that’s why you’re asking ^.^

    Back!   : )

  10. lindt says:

    o my!

shady is wrongness – impure motives – malicious thoughts and actions toward opposite gender – actions which incur guilt on either party – not protecting the purity of the other. (too harsh?) eh i like dan’s definition – think grey. and creepy.

but i wasn’t calling you shady.

and.. i’ll try reposting my pics.

Bro, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. So I think you nailed it. Joy flows from within and takes charge of the situation, instead of the situation taking charge of us.

Though we don’t live to please people, we do not live in isolation though there is a need to be mindful of them. There are some people who will abuse the kindness that is shown to them but our heart and mind is the Lord’s and He is the One that we are to please.

:headbanger: (and he is back) Cheers bro.
