I remember making fun of how the Amish live such backward lives. (I know, retarded…) But I have more respect for them. Their focus on peace and on community. It seems almost cultish, heck it seems crazy to me and I took a really close look at them, being a Mennonite, myself.
But when you take a cup and you jostle it… you really find out what it’s filled with. And for this particular group of Amish, it amazes me… It just bowls me over. They really are out of this world.

It is a sad event but you are right. Only when things are shaken do we know what is inside. Nice posting bro. :headbanger:
hello ,wow.. .sad.. stories.. .but thanks for sharing.. … have great thurday.
The Amish deserve the utmost respect, esp how they are handling the situation right now.
i was watching this story on the news while on the treadmill at the gym. it’s amazing how forgiving the amish can be. they are willing to forgive the man that took the lives of their youth. i concur with you, they deserve the utmost respect.
It is so sad! We have some insane people in our world. killing children..we are living in some extreme times..
Another sad article, but it shows bravery:

Hello , Hope you have a great week-end now. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!
hey i didn’t know you are a mennonite. very respectable.
show me how to successfully publish an audio. i clicked in all the right places, i thought. but then it just sits there.
and i like the photo collage thing in your header bar. kewl.
ya know, i’m officially an exclusivist, but when the amish guy gives glory to GOD by displaying the forgiveness of Jesus so blatantly, i gotta put my theology down and just embrace the brotha.
It makes me wish the Amish would grab the nation’s attention more often…for less tragic reasons. :headshake:
hey about that CNN article that exit39 posted: isn’t it disrespectful to publish a picture of an amish man? i mean: since they deserve the utmost respect, and all. ya know they don’t put faces on their little girls’ dolls b/c that’s a graven image, and they don’t take/have pictures of people for the same reason. maybe i should write to CNN instead of to xanga but…
Hello , Hope you have a great day now.
The forgiveness and love of the Amish astound me and is an example the rest of the world should follow. They even attended the funeral of the murderer!
haha, is that a korean drama?
i dont do drama in or outside of my tv. hahah
Hi :), I saw your xanga name on my feedback log and had no idea who you were. Nice to meet you :). God Bless!
yea man… i’m learning a lot about forgiveness these days too.
peace
true…I have often wondered a lot about thier faith b/c I don’t agree with everything they do (I call you to be in the world but not of the world), but yes, they certainly forgive in a very Godly way.
