Listening to ppl pray~

Everytime I hear someone pray, I this is what pops up in my head:

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”

Matthew 6:5-8

Praying is better in private. Like a conversation between you and your best friend. The babbling especially bothers me. I have no clue why. Maybe that ties in somehow with the problems with hypocrisy… :-/

One day at a time God, one day at a time.

Music is good…

Sade – By your side

You think I’d leave your side baby?
You know me better than that.
You think I’d leave you down when you’re down on your knees?
I wouldn’t do that.

I’ll do you right when you’re wrong
I—–I, ohhhh, ohhh

If only you could see into me

oh, when you’re cold
I’ll be there to hold you tight to me
When you’re on the outside baby and you can’t get in
I will show you, you’re so much better than you know
When you’re lost, when you’re alone and you can’t get back again,
I will find you. Darling, I’ll bring you home

And if you want to cry,
I am here to dry your eyes
and in no time, you’ll be fine.
