God, was this really necessary? I want to be pissed at you, but you make it so hard to stay mad. I’m sure you’ve got a reason for this crap, but I don’t see it right now. So if it’s ok with you, I’m just going to stew a bit and wish today didn’t have to happen.

P.S. Yea, my car broke down. Septa Route 44, here I come.

== EDIT ==

Septa wasn’t that bad… Kinda relaxing not to have to worry about crazy drivers. I’m going to be hitching a ride from a co-worker and helping her pay for gas until they figure out what’s up with the camry.

And a little something lighter to balance out all the darkness…

Forget about Santa… If you’re naughty, you’re gonna watch your presents go to the highest bidder on eBay…

==EDIT 2==

In retrospect, God’s got impeccable timing. The one and only time I got a late shift for Monday and decided to take my car in for a checkup (aka tried to start it up early in the morning) and still have time to catch the bus and make it to work just in time. If God really hated my guts, my car would’ve died at the poconos. Then I would’ve really been screwed. Yes, God, I am definitely favored… even in troubles and misery… still favored. *sigh* Sorry, for … well, you know. Keep up the good work!

I don’t think you understood what I was trying to say in my last comment. What’s the point about learning from religion is you don’t believe any of it? Now, isn’t that a waste of time? If you go to college to learn and do not take anything back from the experience, what have you learn? Pretty much nothing. As I look across different religions, I’m trying to look at the similarity of each religion. I don’t have to believe in everything that is written down. Do I have to believe in all the gods in Buddhism, or believe in Jesus? I believe in the foundation that these gods/god are building… Without a foundation there isn’t going to be a strong structure. All these god/gods teach a similar foundation, and this is what I believe most in…

To answer your question, I believe in most of it, but not all of it… Believing in all religion is a conflict of itself.  The bible said that we most believe in only one God (Holy Spirit, Jesus, and God), and to believe in other gods is against the bible.  If I were a Christian and want to believe in Buddhism, I can’t because the bible state so.

What does most religion have in common? A way people should live their life through values and virtues.

There are many reasons or purposes for God… Hope, faith, values… A higher being that prevent mankind from being chaotic. If people believe in God, most likely they will try to follow that religion.

Why be good? Because it is reflected in your actions and action speak louder than words. It’s easier to make friends, and they can count on you. If you do it in pretends, people will soon find out.

One of my favorite albums by John Elefante (former singer from the group Kansas) is called Defying Gravity.  On this album, track “Exit 39” sparked my interest and the more I listened to it, the more I can relate to it.  As a kid, I had passed by Exit xx (where ‘xx’ is my age at the time) many times just laughing at those that tried to point me toward that direction of redemption..I had not given any deep thought about entering through His open door..and now?..after stepping in?  I’m a new being!  Wow, I’m so very happy and thankful..I’m FULL of JOY!

Have you taken that exit of redemption?  I think you have..I have this feeling..  ha!  ;0)

I started on down the road
Just trying to drive my thoughts away
    But I couldn’t help remembering
    Yesterday and everything in between
It was as real as any image in a Technicolor dream
Or was it my imagination playing tricks on me
    Was I losing my mind?
Or was the truth just catching up to me–I don’t know
Oh, what did it matter? I just kept driving anyway
A whole lot of baggage and conditions and nothing left to say

Just then I noticed a sign
It read, “Renew your soul through Jesus at Exit 39.”
I walked through an open door
    And I started to listen
And the words cut right through my soul
    This was more than religion
I saw water changed to wine
At Exit 39–down at Exit 39

I hung around for a while just trying to find some explanation
And then a woman said to me, “Don’t go searching anymore.
Jesus knew that He’d meet you
When you walked through that door today.”

Then I looked back at the sign
It said, “You just gave your life to Jesus at Exit 39.”
And for the first time I can open my eyes
And see what I’ve been missing
All His love and His forgiveness
Was with me all the time
    More than just religion
I saw water changed to wine
    At Exit 39

I let some time pass me by
I drove up and down that highway
    There was no Exit 39
Was it just all in my mind
    I believe it wasn’t just a vision
‘Cause what took place in my heart
Was by faith and not by sight
    More than just religion
I saw water changed to wine
    At Exit 39–at Exit 39
I saw water changed to wine
    Down at Exit 39

God bless you ha256!  Continue being you.  :headbanger:  hehe

  9. twinstar79 says:

:typing: hello.. merry belated xmas to you too.!!!

  10. Merry belated christmas!!! 2004 is just a bad year for everyone. I agree with the comment above about learning about a religion and not to believe in it.

  11. overjoy71 says:

Woah dude !! Car broken down? Doh. I hope that everything is okay with ya and it didn’t ruin your Christmas. Sometimes dude, we just have to bow our heads and confessed we have no idea what His total plan is for us. We see only a moment, but He sees eternity. :headbanger:

  12. overjoy71 says:

Hey my brother, grace is truly needs to given. And as you pointed out, not easy. That is why I held myself back and just said, “thanks”. There was no need to go further, for it accomplishes nothing nor does it change the past. As the Master puts it so well, “let the dead buried the dead..”

Glad to hear that your car is okay, well at least Christmas was smooth.

    As for Exit39, I don’t know him/her.. I just love this little dude !!  :headbanger: LOL !!!

PS: Hon, you know any good anime to watch?

  13. merry late Christmas to you too! i hope your car gets better–but for now..thats a good reason to take the train…to tccgp! yayy.

  14. myshkin says:

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  You’re right– as we are all called to take up our crosses and follow Him, so I must also obey.

  15. stonejewel says:

Whoa Space Cowboy, I didn’t know you were reviewing animes. I didn’t see Naruto on your list. Shame!

  16. Vegito4 says:

RYC: yea… it something relating to karma. I also believe in a higher being, God, but I don’t practice any religion. Well, if you do “good” all your life, and something bad happens to you, such as a lost of job, divorce, death of a love one, etc… You could always depend on your friends and especially family to be there for you.

What happen when something bad happens to a Christian? Example: lay off from a job. You tell yourself that God has a plan for you. It is a way that you stay positive since you don’t have control over it. The bible says that God does this so that you would remember him through hard time… which is, true people tends to pray more on hard and difficult times.

Well, yea… Other people that don’t believe in God would probably think that it really sucks to lose a job, but they move on in their own. So the question here as a believer and non-believer is how they think, deal with problem, and the attitude they take toward positive and negative situation.

  17. stonejewel says:

Cowboy Bebop is one of the few anime that I’ve watched that’s on your list. “Space Cowboy” just came to mind that’s all (not to say that you’re a vigilante head hunter of some sorts) .

  18. Camp_freak says:

thanks…sometimes iv gotta be reminded of that
