~Filled with the Holy Spirit?~
“The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; idolotry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.”
Galatians 5:19-24 (NIV)
Who’s in charge of your life? Sin or God? I would like to say that God in control of my life, but I don’t think I could say that whole-heartedly. I still have a couple more nails that need to be punched in before my sinful nature has been crucified… But I’d like to think that I’m moving towards God and away from sin. Will I ever been free from the clutches of sin? I dunno, but I’m going to keep striving for my goal. (WWJD?) Jesus has the right way, but it is sooo easy to slide off the path. Fight it~ Pray and spend time with God. Time with God is time well spent.
^_^ Much love to the supporting brothers and sisters out there… you know who you are.
Thank you for sharing what you have been learning(= What do you think about the comments/questions inspired by your blog?
Sin has never and will never be in control of your life. God has always and will always be in control of your life, but, you control your life.
“No man does good and doesn’t sin.” Charles Spurgeon “We are not sinners because we sin, we sin because we are sinners.” R.C. Sproul
As a christian, no matter what you do or don’t do, your distance from God and sin will not increase or decrease. Christianity is based on an absolute, you either belong to God or you are his enemy.
Time with God isn’t always well spent. It’s true. ie: “It’s been such a long time since I’ve been to church… with the right heart.”
“It’s been such a long time since I’ve been to church… with the right heart.”
hmmm… in the context of church, perhaps you are right. But as for QT with God, I’ll have to stick by my guns on that one…

hmm… I’m wondering where you picked that statement up from… so you are either on God’s side, or you are his enemy? So christians belong to God automatically? So christians will always sin? or is sin just a quality here, not an action…?
